Solar Energy Heating
The need for Renewable Energy sources just keeps growing with each passing year and whilst Wind turbines are not suitable for every garden, GROUND SOURCE and SOLAR are rapidly increasing in popularity. Advances made since their initial introduction to mainstream heating in this country have seen solar panels become easier to retro fit, less expensive , more flexible and far more effective in their reduction in heating costs over time. Ground source heat pumps are more invasive as an installation but provide even greater savings - All this and of course they offer the added benefit of dramatically reducing our carbon footprint.
We at J.M.Page Ltd are keen to promote these alternative energy sources and have engineers with experience in all areas from specification to installation. In partnership with our supplier companies we can offer a full design and installation service - Contact our office for a FREE ESTIMATE .............................

Worcester Greenskies solar panels use the power in both direct and diffused sunlight, converting the energy into heat, to produce hot water for the home.
A well-sized solar panel system could provide up to 60% of your annual hot water requirements.
The solar panels are designed to go with existing heating systems that use a cylinder to store hot water. The panels are the perfect partner to the Worcester Greenstar regular and system condensing boilers.
The solar panels are available in portrait and landscape versions to suit a variety of roof sizes and shapes. FKC solar panels are standard and FKT solar panels are high performance..
When having solar panels installed, your existing cylinder is exchanged for a solar compatible one with two heat exchanger coils: one from your boiler and a second from the solar panels. The panels themselves are designed to fit on the roof widthways, also known as ‘landscape’
A simple control (the TDS10) is used with Greenskies solar water heating. This control allows you to monitor the solar panel system and to select the temperature required at the hot water cylinder.
Planning permission for installing solar panels was eased significantly in 2008 and grants are available through the Low Carbon Buildings Programme and if using an MCS registered installer - such as ourselves, can also potentially received incentives from the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme.
