Air Source Heating Buckinghamshire
The efficiency of an air source heat pump is measured in Coefficient of Performance (CoP). A CoP of 4 means that for every kilowatt of electricity put in, you get 4 kilowatts of energy in the form of warm water. The flow temperature of the warm water is typically between 35 degrees Centigrade and 45 degrees Centigrade; much lower than achieved by a domestic boiler. The units are perfectly capable of generating higher temperatures but the CoP suffers meaning the economic and ecological benefits may be affected. Keeping the temperature at the lower end of the scale keeps the system operating at maximum efficiency.
An air source heat pump should cover the heating requirements of a well-insulated property in all but the most extreme conditions. When used in combination with an immersion heater both heating and hot water needs should be met, the immersion heater boosting water temperatures when necessary. An outside air source heat pump working efficiently can reduce energy consumption for heating by up to 50% when compared to conventional heating systems.

JM Page offer cost effective air source heating for residential and commercial properties throughout Buckinghamshire. Where the use of ground source heat pumps have been considered, but it is not possible to drill in a ground probe or install a surface ground loop on the property, an air source heat pump may well be the answer. The only space requirement is an outside wall, making them ideal for apartments and homes with limited outside space. With no need for groundworks, installation costs are kept to a minimum. As professional air source heat pump installers, JM Page can offer valuable advice if you are thinking about this type of heat pump installation.
Worcester Air/Air Heat Pump
The Greensource Air to Air Heat Pump can provide heating and cooling for the home. It also features advanced air purification technology which is particularly beneficial to allergy sufferers.
The heat pump comprises an outdoor and an indoor unit which convert latent energy in the air (even on the coldest days) into heat for your home. The outdoor unit extracts the energy in air outside the property. This heat, absorbed by refrigerant solution within the unit, is turned into hot air by the indoor unit and distributed within the property.
Air source heat pumps are suitable for a wide range of installations including apartments, smaller homes and conservatories. It’s operated using a remote control.
Currently, your local authority must be consulted regarding planning permission for air source heat pumps. More information is available on the Energy Saving Trust’s website
Worcester Air/Water Heat Pump
The Greensource 9.5kW air to water heat pump converts latent energy in the air - even on the coldest days - into heat for your home.
The air source heat pump system comprises an outdoor and indoor unit. The outdoor unit extracts the energy in air outside the property. This energy is absorbed by a refrigerant solution which is compressed to a higher temperature. The indoor unit then uses the heat generated by the outdoor unit to create hot water for a traditional pressurised heating and hot water system.
Installation of these heat pumps is relatively simple and they are suitable for a wide range of property types.
Currently, your local Buckinghamshire authority must be consulted regarding planning permission for air source heat pumps. More information is available on the Energy Saving Trust’s website.
Air Source is considered a renewable Energy source and installations can qualify for the Renewable heat Incentive Grant -- Click the Icon for further details and how to apply
